3.3 Initializing the E-Catalog Kernel

If you have created the E-Catalog physical database as indicated in §1.3, then you initialize the E-Catalog. This is not immediately necessary as initial data collection operates on the Access database and you don't have to access the actual E-Catalog until you begin rough content proofing. Thus on a first reading you may wish to skip to §3.3.
