If you are installing the sample data, the next step is to process the data in the sample spreadsheets into the catalog. With new content there would be a process of correcting and developing the data, where you would selectively process parts of the data. This is done in the same ``XASP Batch'' tab of the Data Collection form as used in the previous section.
With the sample data however you can simply press ``Select-All'' then ``Scan-Objects''. Depending on the speed of your machine and the amount of data, this can take some time. The end result in the log should be ``Scan OK''. If this is the case, then you can press ``Add to Batch'', after which the log should say ``Format Complete''.
You need not have been logged on in this step up to this point and you may wish to save your work again. In any case, to send the batch to the catalog, select the 'Access E-Catalog'' tab in the Data Collection form then press the ``Process XASP Batch'' button. Again this will take some time after which you will get a notification of the number of records processed. You can now proceed to the final step of processing the sample data.
Note that if you have not allocated a sufficient transaction log space for your database you can get an error in this or the next step if it is exhaused which may not be immediately apparent as such.
