¹ firm 1 day job GLB ( For non-IT professionals, those naïve to IT labor markets ... ) For staff IT labor such as can easily be verified. There are different tiers and markets of course, talking about the body of the direct employment wage distribution, +/- k σ;, actual global market, backwater markets excluded. This doesn't take into account 1-man creation of high value intellectual property for the entirety of some enterprise. In the US anyway such rights always vest in the creator if an employee but works for hire from a contractor automatically vest with the buyer. Don't generally have any problem with strict work for hire to provide specific service or create specific intellectual property with no equity at the struck rate in such cases.
