git usage summary
At this writing git and github have become predominant VCS and public source repository, respectively, with git replacing svn where I have the decision.
I maintain a private git repo at git.meansofproduction.biz which has primary development sources for both my free public
projects and those of clients with closed source proprietary products. I can provide guided tours of these biz cases,
such as AusregCliever, Acordex which use FishEye over git. Can provide identity to access these thru secure/private channels
My intent is to put everything else, to the extent I can, in my free git hub account. Will curate content there but current state is:
- ADPTVSQL - the code of the Givaudan client server engine
- CacheManager - Explained in .md readme, if no equiv found probably will eventually bring to some produciton level given time, just a) to prove a point and b) for its' intrinsic usefulness.
- DACLIPS - a project to build a core for a lab data acquisition system. The proven parts of this were married to the AusRegistry EPP client in AC.
SFAIK no completely open source thing like this people could adapt to make their own custom LIMS. Would need a major cleanup/refactoring, want
to add HDFS and MongoDB. Only one of my Cliubook projects currently on github.
- Firebreath Fork - the public part of the fork of Firebreath used in the ATV5 project, a commercial browser plugin upgrade contract.
- Green Travel Calculator - complete sources (XCode and Eclipse projects).
Updating this this month (new name for the Green Travel Cabon Calculator generalized to gap/Cordova).
Of the above, the android app, DACLIPS, and the Cache Manager, and ADPTVSQL are entirely my code, the Firebreath fork
has the modifications by me ATV5 needed. It's a mix from heavily production used to alpha code. Some clients I've done work for, e.g. Michael Hemry's Mediabeef,
use github but those are private.
