0.3.2.5 logging packages

I was surprised to find no clear log4j clone that could serve everywhere for this project so different packages were used in different places. Finally I used log4cpp everyplace except on Windows where I just rolled my own. As a result, log4j like function is not available there. I may add another pkg such as log4cxx here later.
